This picture of Kelly was taken in the midst of that Dwayne Turner and Don McGregor assignment I have written about. Don is wrestling Dwayne to the floor and Kelly is just cooly doing business. Which I think sums up Kelly Corvese. One could add in something about being one of the most pleasant and level-headed Assistants and Editors I ever met. Kelly rose to editing a ton of books—the one I cared about was the What If–? line. But he also did X-Factor, a Black Widow series, Marvel Presents—an anthology series – in addition to a barge-full of others. Including the Black Panther Limited Series—Panther’s Prey which got me in the room in the first place. On some of these he was an Assistant Editor—way too winding a path of writer, creator, editor for me to outline here.
